Asoka Herath
Lead Consultant (Geology)

Asoka is an accomplished professional engineering geologist/geotechnical engineer with 42 years of experience in civil engineering and mining. Asoka currently works with Australian Mining Consultants (AMC) – Perth, Australia, specializes in rock and soil mechanics, and is highly experienced in the design and management of geotechnical investigations in civil engineering and mining projects, specifically in hydropower development and open pit mining. He is an expert in rock mass characterization, ground improvement including grouting, rock engineering in tunneling and underground excavations, slope stability investigation, slope design, and remediation.

Saman Peiris
Lead consultant

Saman is an experienced Hydromechanical Engineer with 20 years of experience in hydromechanical design, planning, and execution. He is skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. Adept in developing feasibility studies, detailed designs, and construction plans for hydropower projects in Africa, South America and Southeast Asia.

Wisdom Emmanuel Afahanam

Wisdom is an experienced Structural Engineer and expert in structural designing of international onshore and offshore projects in Renewable Energy and Water Resources. He has designed projects in Countries including The Netherlands, Germany, and Nigeria. Wisdom has advanced skills in CFD, BIM, AUTOCAD, REVIT, hydrological and hydraulic modeling, and GIS analysis. He is a skillful design engineer with preparation of standard 2D and 3D drawings.

Prof. Dr. Roshanka (Rosh) Ranasinghe holds the AXA Chair in Climate Change Impacts and Coastal Risk at the Department of Coastal and Urban Risk & Resilience, IHE Delft and at the Department of Water Engineering and Management, University of Twente. He is also a Senior Specialist at the Reslient Ports and Coasts department (Hydraulic Engineering Unit) at Deltares and holds an Honorary Professor position at the University of Melbourne (Australia).

Dr Assela Pathirana is an Associate Professor at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, focusing on water infrastructure asset management and the climate resilience of Small Island Developing States (SIDS). His work promotes sustainable planning, operation, and maintenance of water systems, and supports water security and climate adaptation in vulnerable island contexts. He has contributed to both academic research and applied solutions in infrastructure sustainability and resilience.
