Lasantha Sampath Jayasinghe

Principal Consultant · Hydropower

Lasantha is a hydropower specialist and civil and hydraulic engineer with more than 15 years of international experience delivering renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Sub Saharan Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Combining industry and research expertise, he specialises in the planning, development, and management of hydropower projects from feasibility through to implementation. His experience includes technical leadership, project management, and multidisciplinary coordination for complex hydropower developments and infrastructure programmes funded by international development institutions.

Lasantha is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a member of the European Hydropower Consultancy Platform. He is currently pursuing doctoral research in hydropower and brings a strong blend of technical expertise, innovation, and practical project delivery experience.
